Its a really nice game, but I like to be in communities so I think it gets kinda boring playing alone all the time :P

I like it because it doesn't have a strict linear history but you can chose if you want to do the main quest or all the subquest which are just as interesting. Also the graphics are great in my opinion. However, I don't think the combat part of the game is very good. Yea it's great that arrows are stuck in enemies when they get shot, but other than that it's quite a disappointment.

You need to mod it to make it good tbh, I wouldn't play the vanilla game as it sucks a great deal in comparison to playing using the right mods, (the leveling system is fucking shite in vanilla, mods can fix it)
http://www.tessource.net/files/ is widely regarded as a good source of mods
As for which mods...
Adventurers mod is a must, I couldn't play without it, has to many features to list, look it up on tessource.
Natural habitats, darker dungeons & stormier storms make things prettier and make the wildlife more realistic & varied
Noload mod gets rid of the "loading area" message which gets on my tits
attack & hide makes stealth more realistic
Marts monster mod adds over 100 monsters/creatures to the game.
All in all I use around 40 mods, far to many to list here.

Although the KOTOR games and Oblivion are the only RPGs I've really played, I fell in love with Oblivion right away when I started it (well almost right away anyhow, I still hate the passage out of the cell :().
After about 145 hours, it's not too interesting anymore, but I always felt there was one part of the game that was so superior to anything else, even the main quest by far. And that part was the Dark Brotherhood. The atmosphere was just perfect, the quests were great, it was all just so amazing... :) And without spoiling too much here, I'll just say that the Purification quest actually made me feel sad. :(
Nowadays I barely play Oblivion and even the Shivering Isles haven't really got me playing again, although the Knights of the Nine was good in my opinion, it actually had me interested all the way to the end.

I couldn't agree more. The Dark Brotherhood were some fantastic quest.
And the part that make you sad, made me happy haha. I didn't really like any of those wannabe assassins :P

The game it self is really good, but true, you might need some new quests and so on if you already have finished the game.

two worlds is horrible, atleast what ive played of it anyway. spent ages "acquiring" it and played for 20 mins and thought it was terrible.

meh, i've got something like 180 hours clocked on it now and only just started on the knights of the nine part... not even touched shivering isles
mind, I'm not fast-travelling anyway, just taking my time travelling the world as I go.
that and the 50-odd mods I'm running help throw a few bits and pieces in there to spice things up on my travels

No multiplayer =(
aye, would be really nice to have a coop type game. Still they focused on SP and we got an awesome game out of it.

oh yeh, baatu or anyone got anymore good mods? I just started playing again yesterday and got alot of the mods that were suggested. Any awesome quest mods? as ive done main/shivering/kotn/all guilds i think ( fighters, mages, thieves, assasins - no more right? ) i need something good to do.
Also found this mod yesterday called jm bar fights.. makes things on the table useable as weapons ( bottles, forks etc even bread! ) and new aggresive npcs in taverns that occasionally start mass brawls. lol. Although they can kill the regular npcs that happen to be around which is a bit of a bugger, funny though.
So anyone got any great ones to keep me busy? Gonna go try find some myself meanwhile
