i'm pro the penalty in theory - being that it is 100% certain that that person did it. Imo, if there is even one shadow of a doubt, they should be put in prison for life (literally). If the case is re-examined, and it becomes 100%, then kill 'em, but if they think they are innocent, then free them.

Seven years for a murder seems about the going rate, so long as you don't make the papers which adds an extra 5-10. The securitas boys would have got less for killing people than what they're going to serve.
