Feckin Happy Slappers

A GANG of happy slappers came off worst when they attacked former amateur boxer Curtis Mulcare.

The 6ft, 18 stone salesman was hit by one of eight yobs as he waited for a bus – then put two of them in hospital.

He said: “I gave him a left hook and he was down unconscious for half an hour. I jumped towards them but they all jumped back. I think they realised they didn’t want to know.

“I stood around until the bus came and they started to attack me on the bus.

“I got one and rammed his head against the cash till and cut his head open. I chucked them all off.”

Two youths were taken to hospital. Police in Brighton arrested four for affray and bailed them.

Curtis, 31, was quizzed about using excessive force but freed without charge. He said: “I only hit the lad once. I don’t think that’s excessive.

“I hope they’ve learned their lesson. They thought it was going to be happy slapping but it didn’t end up too happy for them.”

Got what they deserved in my opinion if not they got of lighter than they deserved

obviously if they slap you your not going to slap them back your goign to hit the back harder, dont want to excessivly use violence but make sure they know damn well not to do it again

i'm not too sure about eye for an eye - we'd all end up blind.

its the fact that they are only doing it for a laugh that i find incredably distasteful. If they had a crack habit and was mugging for wallets I'd not want them to suffer as much. i dunnno theres just something i find really stupid about the mentality involved in the whole happy slapping thing and if they get back twice what they want to give out i'm more than happy (especially if it stops them considering it funny and they start to realise wtf they are doing!)

yeah its what annoys most of us the fact that people prey upon innocent members of the public for amusement, then record it for a later date

there has even been people killed by happy slapping, its assault nothing else

Aye, it's true that they should be hit back harder. But excessive violence is still not acceptable imo. Trip to the hospital isn't a problem. But like... permanent damages are pretty hardcore.

I've been in fights that happened for no reason at all, apart from somebody wanting to participate. Not happy slapping, but just.. fucking about. And I wanted to hurt them bad in that situation, but still, I retrained myself. I'm a big fucker, and if I went at them full force (or anybody did for that matter) you might end up killing (by accident, shit happens).... now I'd not enjoy having a death on my conscious, no matter how much of a cockbag the aggressor was. It just isn't good karma, is all.
