my neigbour asked me to have a look at her pc because of this annoying popup anyway i isolated it was this mbs (micro billing system) a legal trogen that you get when hubbys been looking at stuff he shouldnt lol embarresing for her, turns out when u accept terms and conditions from certain porn and gambling sites you agree to download this little blighter, then when u forget to cancel your 3 day subscription. the recurring bill comes in, when this isnt paid the mbs trogen is activated and it effectivley shuts off your internet.

anyway the reason i posted this was to make u all aware and to find out if anyone has found an effective method to remove it.

can't say i've had THAT particular problem... but i'm usually finding all sorts of little programs after the missus has had free access to the computer for a few days. usually i just hunt the bastards down through program files and windows directories and delete them while in 'safe' mode
